Managed services
Spaced repetition runs at its own pace — beside your teaching, not inside it.
You choose the material that has already been taught. AnkiTov hosts the practice slot, generates each student's own daily study capsule, and shows which gaps are closing. Teachers do not run sessions, monitor students, or prepare anything.
What you actually get
The free core is the whole engine, and it is yours to run yourself. The paid service is the part that costs you nothing but money: someone else runs the servers, the backups, the certificates, and the container pipeline.
- One slot, already on your timetable
- An unassigned period — study hall, advisory, flex, library. No lesson time is taken. No new subject is introduced.
- A study capsule per student, generated daily
- Previously-taught material, ordered by memory decay, sized to the length of the slot. Students practise beside the timetable, at their own pace.
- Roster in, report out
- Import your roster from a spreadsheet. Get a per-student and per-cohort PDF and CSV showing practice consistency and where retention is thin.
- Nothing to install on a student device
- Students open a browser. Or they practise on their own phone or laptop against the same collection — their choice, their schedule.
- No new hardware, no IT ticket
- No GPU server, no WebRTC proxy, no certificates, no container fleet to maintain. If it breaks, it is ours.

Continuity — $29 per incoming student
For the student joining you mid-year, or entering after a placement test. Upload their prior collection (or nothing at all) and you get a gap diagnostic plus a sequenced catch-up capsule, drawn only from material they have already been taught — plus a one-page PDF for the family.
How a term goes
- You choose the material, once. You point AnkiTov at decks of material already taught this year, or use the bundled subject decks. That is the entire teacher involvement.
- You import the roster. A spreadsheet, or a sync from your student system. Students are added to a room; they are not individually configured.
- The slot runs itself. Each student's capsule is generated from their own collection, time-boxed to the slot, and ordered by what they are about to forget. Staggered slots mean nobody needs a server per student.
- You see what closed and what didn't. Practice consistency, thin-retention areas, and who has drifted off the regime. Export it for the department head, the family, or the file.
What we do not sell
Some of these are asked for. None of them are in the price, and none of them will be added to justify a higher one.
- Live supervision or video walls of students
- Certificates, badges, or proof-of-mastery credentials
- A content marketplace or deck resale
- Anti-piracy or DRM on your own material
- Pay-per-answer or usage metering
- AI-written or AI-rewritten cards
- Anything requiring a district procurement cycle
One claim only. Spaced repetition works. We do not claim it raises grades, invents a method, or does anything Anki does not already do. What we add is delivery — it runs in a browser, beside the timetable, without anyone having to administer it.
Questions institutions actually ask
Does a teacher have to do anything?
One thing, once: choose the material to be practised. After that, sessions run themselves at the student's own pace. Teachers are not asked to run, watch, or prepare practice — that is the whole design.
How do we buy this without a purchase order?
Both managed tiers are a flat per-term figure sized for a discretionary budget. Tell us what you need below and we invoice it. If it turns out your institution does need a formal agreement, we will say so rather than let you find out later.
What happens to student data?
It stays on infrastructure we operate, isolated per student, and is not sold, profiled, or sent to third-party model providers. The self-host tier never touches our servers at all. See the privacy page.
Do students have to install anything?
No. The default is a browser. Students who prefer their own device can point Anki at the same collection and practise on a phone or laptop on their own schedule — no re-import, no export.
What if we already have our own decks?
Most institutions do, and that is the intended case. AnkiTov does not author material — it verifies, sequences, and delivers what you already teach. You keep authorship and the licence.
Is this a district product?
No. It is built to close on a discretionary budget in days. District-scale procurement is a different motion with a different timeline; we will not pretend otherwise.
What does the service actually cost us to run?
Less than the fee, by design. That is why the price is flat rather than metered: we would rather be inexpensive and predictable than clever. If a period needs to be staggered to stay inside that, we stagger it — we do not raise the price.
Start a term, or ask us something first
Tell us roughly how many students and how many periods. We will confirm which tier fits and send an invoice — there is no card checkout and no automated billing to get tangled in.
